The short answer? Time moves too quickly.
For me, family photography is about honoring our present, as well as our future selves. I'm amazed by how quickly my clients' families grow and change. It's so tempting to mistake iPhone photos and Instagram or Facebook posts as a proper documentation of your family. While these serve a purpose, they're simply not enough.
I see the joy and pride in my clients' faces when they put a new print on the wall or display their family session book. I know how valuable family portraiture is.
This is why I am proud to photograph families.
Please enjoy some of my favorite family moments captured over to last few years. I love creating those lovely, classic, smiling at the camera photos, but for me the real magic happens when your family interacts with each other. Thank you to the families who have allowed me the honor of photographing them.
Featured Family: The Crumps
Photographing the Crump family was an honor and a pleasure. Photographers themselves, they made this Fall Rocky Mountain Family Session a breeze.
FeatureD Family: THe Johnsons
This young beautiful family of six lucked out with an unseasonably warm day in December at Cheesman park. The oldest of five myself, I love working with big fun families.
In addition to gracing the walls of my clients' homes, my family portraits have been published in numerous lifestyle publications across the state. The Hilltop Sundial, Lowry Aviator, and Cherry Hills Village Living are just a few of these.
I greatly appreciate you taking the time to view my family portraits. I'd be so honored to photograph your family.
Melissa Hirsch Photography is proud to offer unique, artistic family photography in Denver, CO, and worldwide. Whether you prefer a mountain photography family session, an urban photography family session, a studio family photography session, or an in-home family photography session, I am committed to creating photos that you will love for years from now. How do I achieve this? I set up lighting, select a beautiful background, put your family right in the middle of it, and then just let you be yourselves. This is where the magic happens. With a variety of classic, timeless, posed 'Christmas card photos', and photojournalistic and artistic portraiture, I strive to do more than just document your family. When you view your photos, I want you to view yourselves. Five or ten years from now, I want your photos to enkindle your very own saudade.
